Absolutely rubbish CMHT. They changed their procedures and didn't inform the patients. Patients are left feeling abandoned and not knowing when their next appointment will be. You constantly repeat your symptoms over and over with no help in overcoming your illness. As the staff no longer can make decisions in the appointment, they have to refer their team (who you have never met). This makes them look unqualified and incompetent at their jobs. The staff here make you feel it's your fault that you are ill. You ring the crisis team who always tells you that you are not in a crisis, even when you are drinking alcohol, taking medication and self-harming. The then tell you to ring the Samaritans.
Friendly+helpful to all visitors, treats the inmates very well. Willing to let you know what you ask if you ring daily. May ask for info on patient but only as background.
There are a lot of difficulties with organising appointments in the CYPS department. My appointments keep getting cancelled and mixed up. Considering that it's a mental health department, I thought that stability would be key. There is also a lot of difficulty trying to find where you're supposed to be.However, the service I've had when I actually am there has been great and had been really beneficial. If there were better maps and signs, and if the employees could self manage it would get 5/5
Hopeless trying to ring here to find out where people are that have been admitted "do you know their date of birth?" Er, no, "well if you dont know their date of birth i cant find them" they obviously dont put themselves out to make the effort either and some parts of the hospital cant be connected from the main number, what a shambles, "ill have to give you another number as its outside the hospital?" Its like 1930 here, what do they mean by outside the hospital? Its obviously the hospital or you wouldnt be calling in the first place. It would be less of an effort to visit the place than trying to ring.
Just took mum (Eve Howard) to the outpatient Clinic.Drove into car park and straight into a invalidity place and got wheel chair out of the car.As soon as I got it out a chap with a tray of eggs came over and asked if I needed help (he may work in the cafe). He help with the wheel chair and told me best way to the ramps to the out patients. We were 20 minutes early but was showing straight in to do first checks. Then straight in to see the heart specialist again did checks (everything was OK ).So I was out before I was due in. So when I was on out I wasn't sure where we came in,then I heard someone say I think you came in from this way. It was one of the staff who had noticed us coming in. I thought what smooth start to the day.Thankyou
