Don't listen to any of the negatives about this chinese takeaway,as it is by far a million times better than any Chinese in Sunderland. The only takeaway to come even close to these was big chef in West rainton but unfortunately has been taking over. But this takeaway still was the best of them all and I have tried all the so called best of them.
The absolute best food in the north east by a mile.Sadly the lovely owner passed away recently but the family are continuing to serve us their gorgeous food. Been over 40yrs that we've came to George for his food even way back when he owned the Lotus Garden restaurant in High St over 30yrs ago and the food has never changed.If only they delivered, I'd eat nothing but. God bless all the lovely family and I hope they continue to be the best there is.
The salt and chilli ribs are the best I've ever had. No poxy little things that have no meat on, like most. These fellas are big and covered in lean tender pork and an amazing spicy batter on the outside. You usually get 6 but have had 7 before. Can't praise them highly enough!!! Travel from the far side of durham just for the ribs.
Our absolute favourite Chinese, salt & pepper chips and chicken are to die for! And the curry is very generous with meat and tastes beautiful. Cant fault it at all
Haven't been here for years until a couple of weeks ago when me and my husband went for a late night takeaway. They don't deliver here so you have to go to the shop to order or ring up then collect. Prices are really reasonable and the service was quick. Meal was really tasty compared to other Chinese takeaways in the area. Would definitely go back again.
