Although the staff were friendly, I wasn't very well informed during the entire process. At one point my solicitor dropped off the face of the earth for two weeks (no apology or explanation was given). He would not return phone calls or emails from myself, the estate agent or the sellers solicitor (and we had already been out of contact for a week prior to this). Information that I thought I needed, I didn't. Information that I didn't know I needed to provide I only found out when asking for a progress report (I had to ask several times). I asked for contract exchange ASAP with a month gap till completion. I had TWO days between exchange and completion and got my completion date BEFORE the exchange took place, with only two weeks before. Deadlines were missed, hence the two days. I also paid 200 more than the initial estimate upon the first meeting. Massive stress and worry for not only myself but the house vendor. But it worked out in the end, so silver linings and all. I was looking for a quick purchase so perhaps if time was not a factor then it would be OK, although it did take almost 3 months anyway.Personally I would not use again.Upon closer inspection if the bills I received there were a number of charges that I was not informed of prior to receiving the bill, contrary to the contract I was given by the firm (supposedly) outlining all charges. After some research I discovered that these charges are not uncommon, however they should be disclosed clearly (as a mark of good practice) instead of being hidden under acronyms in the bill.
