The museum and gallery side of the Glass Centre are very interesting and well presented and the galleries attract world class exhibitions (which may or may not be glass related) as well as local work. There are several demonstrations of glass blowing each day. The shop has a wide selection of beautiful glass products in a variety of price ranges, and I have bought wedding presents there on a couple of occasions. A range of other gifts and toys are also available.The real let-down for us was the cafe. There was a notice telling us to wait to be seated, but despite there being a queue and spare tables, nobody came to seat us until we asked after 15 minutes. It was then some time before our order was taken, and again there was a delay before the food arrived.
Nice place to take kids. They have a live glass making demonstration which is actually quite interesting, they also have some exhibitions. I mean its not the most exciting place in the world but it is quite educational for little ones.
Rubbish to visit, avoid at all cost.
