Not bad for drinks before and after the match. Staff friendly. Not that easy to access wheelchair toilet where it is located and not sure if it was locked with nobody inside
Nice hotel! Spotlessly clean, modern Hilton. Good rooms (we were upgraded to a King). Easy to get to, good base to explore the North East of England.

For football fans, this is the perfect spot to stay. For business in Sunderland everything is a short trip away. Staff were friendly and helpful with menus and taxis etc. Room was excellent with comfy bed and it was quiet - no noise through the night. Only tried the bar food - chicken burger was delicious and a good portion. Coleslaw tasted like ready made tub and the fries tasted like the oil needed changing. That said I would still try there other meals because the burger was excellent. Breakfast was top notch and a great selection.
Attended conference here. Nice, modern facility. Signposting to hotel car park poor- you actually have to park in the Stadium of Light; I ended up in the Aquatic Centre after following the Hilton sign! Coffee machine for delegates delivered unpleasant plastic tasting beverages, yuk- expected better at Hilton. Didn't stay here so cannot comment on rooms but hotel is so new, they are likely to be decent. Staff were friendly and helpful.
